Un jarrón para la mesa del living / A vase for the coffe table

Hace un par de años compré un jarrón grande para colocarlo sobre la mesa del comedor. El jarrón es de color beige. Busqué un detalle en tono neutro para que no compitiera con el sobre mantel de color turquesa y negro y los cuadros de la pared. Luego lo pinté color turquesa con un toque envejecido en caoba. Ayer decidí que dejaría la mesa con un jarrón de arte murano que antes estaba en el ceibó (aparador) sin el sobre mantel. El jarrón ahora está en la mesa de centro de la sala (living room). Por un momento pensé que era un disparate porque los colores predominantes de la sala son el amarillo, el rojo y el blanco con muebles en madera y resultó que agregar un nuevo color encaja bien en el conjunto.

A couple of years ago I bought a large vase for the dinner table. The vase was beige. I looked for a neutral tone detail to not compete with the table runner and the paintings on the wall. Then I painted it in a turquoise color with a touch of aged mahogany. Yesterday I decided to place in the dinner table a murano art vase that was formerly of the kapok (dresser) without table runner. The vase is now on the coffee table in the living room. For a moment I thought it was nonsense because the predominant colors in the room are yellow, red and white with wood cabinets and found that adding a new color fits well on the whole.

 En esta ocasión, menos es más. El jarrón que antes estaba en el mueble de madera, lo coloqué en la mesa.
